Parsons Sun letter to the editor tells truth about ed funding

SunflowerThis is an editorial that will never be reprinted by the Wichita Eagle editorial board. Dennis Depew, a respected attorney, has the integrity to tell the truth about state funding for education.

He rightly states that “it is disingenuous and factually untrue to claim that K-12 spending has suffered massive cuts in the last five years.” He goes on to say that, “In fact, the opposite is true with the addition of over half a billion dollars in spending from 2010 to 2015.”

I should also point out that Mr. Depew served as the President of KASB from 2012-13, and is the ultimate “insider” as it relates to education funding and policy.  He knows what he’s talking about.

Here’s a Education funding Parsons Sun letter to the editor in case the above link doesn’t work.
